About Sand Bar
The Sand Bar on Washington Avenue has been a local hangout for more than 60 years, and its famous steak sandwich hasn’t changed since the 1950s. Behind the bar are more than 100 beers, from craft and seasonal to imports, plus signature cocktails. The kitchen turns out wings, garlic cheese curds, chili cheese fries, burgers and a Friday perch fry, and it stays open late most nights. There are darts and pool, game nights with free shots, and bartenders who are happy to chat if you grab a seat at the bar.
